MIND YOUR LANGUAGE | ENGLISH

Mind Your Language (MYL) for secondary 3 and 4 students focuses on mediating both practice and knowledge into important source of information useful for delivering contextual based questions. We understand that finding, interpreting and applying knowledge is a difficult task for students to accomplish on their own. So our programme concentrate on the link between knowledge, experience and translating them into theoretical aspect where students become proficient writers, able to express their ideas freely in an orderly and concise manner intended for the reading pleasure of anyone who chanced upon them.
MIND ON MATHEMATICS | ELEMENTARY MATHS

A barrier to the learning of theirs subject is the conventional approach of “Drill and Practice”. We have revolutionised the learning style by helping students to be engage in their own understanding and then make it explicit the ‘know how’. In the designing of this course, we adhere very closely to the curriculum and its assessment goals. Our Teachers engage students through commentary and feedback. The aim is to allow students to reflect on the knowledge taught or them. We also monitor closely on the performance of our students and evaluate how they are currently doing in relation to what they have already done.

A challenge during the design of our Mind On Mathematics, (A maths) (MOM) programme is the fundamental differences in instructional methods that focus on generic skills and methods that are domain specific. Students’ ability to comprehend A maths concepts depends on what they already know. We build the knowledge on the foundation of their existing frameworks. We use the concepts of the subject matter as tools to be understood and used to solve mathematical questions rather than as information to be delivered through instruction.

MIND ON PHYSICS

As part of a general shift in instructional positioning in our physics classes. Mind On physics (MOP) brings along a new learning experience when perception, thinking analysis and reasoning becomes the output of our students’ concept formation process. This approach provided a basis for analysing concepts and procedure from step by step building of advance and complex tasks starting from simpler units of knowledge on the subject matter.
